Musical Typography

The Sanborn Map Company of the 1800's was an unassuming source of numerous hand-rendered typographic illustrations. This is my silkscreened attempt to emulate the style, using my favorite location-based songs as sources of content. I hand treated the paper with coffee and tea and printed two colors on each print.

The musicians whose songs are used for inspiration include Frank Turner, Old Crow Medicine Show/Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen.
